MOSAICO

Last update: 22 October 2026

MOSAICO is an educational initiative designed to foster open dialogue on multiculturalism, inclusion, and respect within school communities. The programme beneficiaries are students from 14 to 18 years-old, teachers and the broader educational community.

The programme encompasses three core objectives:

  1. strengthen multicultural dialogue and respect in schools,
  2. inspire students while helping to address school dropout,
  3. empower participants through the development of soft skills.

The project was created and developed by BNP Paribas Portugal (DEI Team) in collaboration with the EthniCity Employee Network, IPAV, AND Fórum Estudante. It also benefits from the active participation of BNPP employees, who volunteer to participate in the programme, animating the sessions at schools, in close contact with the students.

Impactful results (total for the three years)

Testimonies from Schools teachers

“We started with one class, and today, Mosaico belongs to the whole school. When colleagues saw what students created, they wanted to join. Autonomy gave us the freedom to adapt activities to our reality.”

“What surprised me was the impact beyond the classroom: students took the project home, involving families and the community. The collective work made visible a diversity that already existed but we weren’t celebrating.”

“The kit gave us a safe starting point, but it was the students who made it grow. Peer mentorship changed the class climate. The younger ones no longer felt alone when arriving at school.”
